1. Overview & Data Controller

Wave Lab (accessible via https://wavelab.tools) is an educational science platform operated by Traian Anghel, based in Brăila, Romania. We respect your personal privacy and are committed to transparent data practices under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable international privacy laws.

For any privacy-related inquiries, you can contact the data controller directly at contact@wavelab.tools.

2. Information We Collect

Wave Lab does not require account registration or collect personally identifiable information (PII) to use our physical calculators, spectrum analyzers, or educational tools.

  • Local Storage: We use your browser's localStorage solely to remember your UI theme preference (dark or light) and cookie consent status. This data never leaves your device.
  • Server Log Information: Standard, non-identifying server logs (such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, and time of request) are processed temporarily for security, rate-limiting, and infrastructure stability.
  • Contact form: If you submit the contact form, we store your name, email address, selected subject, message, submission time, and processing status in Wave Lab's isolated Supabase schema. The form does not send an email notification through Resend.
  • Direct correspondence: If you contact us directly at contact@wavelab.tools, your message is handled through Zoho Mail so we can respond.

3. Contact Message Retention & Processing

Contact-form submissions are used only to review and answer the inquiry. They are accessible through the protected Wave Lab administration area and are scheduled for deletion no later than 180 days after submission, unless a longer period is required to resolve the request or meet a legal obligation. Supabase provides the database infrastructure, and replies are sent manually through Zoho Mail.

4. Google AdSense, Analytics & Cookie Choices

Current mode: Google AdSense and Google's CMP are not active. The local banner stores necessary preferences and controls any optional analytics service that may be configured. It is not a certified advertising CMP and does not create an IAB TCF string.

Future AdSense mode: only after approval and configuration, Google's certified CMP will exclusively manage advertising consent and IAB TCF signals for relevant visitors. The local banner will not be displayed at the same time.

  • No advertising request is sent unless the production CMP flag and a valid AdSense publisher ID are both configured.
  • After activation, Google and the vendors disclosed by Google's message may process identifiers, device data and usage data for the purposes and legal bases selected in that message.
  • A permanent “Privacy choices” control and the footer option allow consent to be changed or withdrawn.
  • For full details on stored keys, lifespans, and how to update or revoke your choices at any time, please visit our Cookie Policy.

5. Affiliate Disclosure

Some pages on Wave Lab may include affiliate links to hardware tools (such as colorimeters, studio monitors, or audio interfaces). If you click through and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps support server hosting and content development. For complete details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

Under European data protection law, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority.
